Pros: bright, clear light, great design. The light has a great intensity for reading
Cons: it makes a strange buzzing noise when turned on, and the on switch often gets stuck.

Bad switch
Bought 2 lamps and the one that was used on a regular basis broke within 4 months. Definitely not worth the price. Don't waste your money. I have bought lamps that were half the price and have lasted for many years.

Love my Tulip!
I bought this lamp for quilting, and I am thrilled with it. I will probably pick up another the next time I catch them on sale, it's perfect for any kind of needlework, and as an uplight, it is mellow in a large room. Easy on the eyes, too, very pretty in the green color.

switch,vision
I found the switch on the lamp quite awkward to use and didn't always work. The light is quite harsh for my liking. It's on it's way to the next garage sale.

Switch failed at 5 and a half months.
Got lamp for Christmas. Used only 2 or 3 evenings a week at home computer work station. Switch was always touchey needing a couple of pushes to turn on. Now it won't turn on at all. Cheap switch for an expensive lamp. Not a good product.

Love it!
This is a great light. My son had a OttLite that was discontinued that I tried to get but I choose this as an alternative. It is so pretty, I have it in Opal. I am using it as a night stand light. I love that the base is so small that it doesn't take up much needed room on a nightstand. It is even enough light to use just facing up, without even bending towards me. The cast of light is so clean. This is a great light. I was thinking would also make a great addition to baby room (blue/pink).

I love the 'Tulip Ottlite' as a desk lamp when working on the computer.
